About Robert Nusgart
For the last 20 years, Robert Nusgart has built an extensive and varied background in the real estate industry. He has sold real estate, originated residential mortgages and has reported on the industry. Simply, he understands what can be a complex marketplace, yet strives to simplify the process for his clients and customers through plain talk and common sense solutions.
Robert entered the mortgage banking business in 2002, working for some of America’s largest lenders, where he achieved recognition as a top producer. In 2008, he joined Prospect Mortgage LLC., a direct lender. Our office is linked with The Strata Group, a Baltimore-based financial services organization that has the realty firm of Yerman, Witman, Gaines and Conklin as its cornerstone.
Before going into the mortgage business, Robert was an assistant business editor for The Baltimore Sun, where he edited the Sunday Real Estate section for six years while reporting on housing and industry trends in the Baltimore metropolitan area.
Robert also held his real estate license and sold homes for the former Baltimore firm of O’Conor, Piper and Flynn. This combined experience has given him a rare and unique perspective on the home buying and selling process.
Robert is an affiliate member of the Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors and the Real Estate Million Dollar Association. He is also an affiliate member of the Howard County Association of Realtors. In addition, he serves as a board member on the Sales and Marketing Council of the Home Builders Association of Maryland.
Robert also writes a bi-weekly column – Mortgage Matters – for The Daily Record, Baltimore’s leading business and legal newspaper.
